Wevent, an event agency in Morocco, is committed to protecting the privacy of users of its website. This privacy policy describes the personal data we collect, the purposes for which we process it, your rights and the security measures in place. It is aligned with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and with Moroccan Law 09-08 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data.

1. Data controller

2. Data we collect

We may collect the following categories of personal data:

Identity data: last name, first name, email address, phone number
Professional data: company name, job title
Browsing data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, visit duration (via cookies — see our Cookie policy)
Communication data: content of messages sent through the contact form

3. Purposes and legal bases

In line with Article 6 of the GDPR, we process your data for the following purposes and on the following legal bases:

Responding to contact requests: steps prior to a contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR)
Sending quotes and delivering services: performance of a contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR)
Improving the website and measuring audience: legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR)
Meeting legal obligations: legal obligation (Art. 6.1.c GDPR)
Direct marketing (newsletter and similar): consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR)

4. Recipients

Your personal data is intended for Wevent’s internal teams and, where needed, for technical providers (hosting, analytics tools) strictly within the scope of their assignment. We do not sell or rent your data to third parties.

5. Retention

Your data is kept for as long as needed for the purposes for which it was collected:

Contact requests: 3 years from the last contact
Contract data: the term of the contract plus 5 years (legal and accounting obligations)
Browsing data (cookies): see our Cookie policy

At the end of these periods, the data is deleted or anonymised.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

Under the GDPR and Moroccan Law 09-08, you have the following rights:

Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR): obtain confirmation that your data is being processed and receive a copy
Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected
Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR): request deletion of your data in the cases provided by law
Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR): receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): object to the processing of your data on legitimate grounds
Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR): request that processing be suspended in certain cases
Right to withdraw consent: at any time, for processing based on consent

7. Data security

Wevent implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or destruction.
